The Chase (Manafest album)
The Chase is the fourth studio album released under BEC Recordings by the Christian rapper Manafest on March 30, 2010. The album received a nomination in the category of Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year for the Juno Awards of 2011.
Reception
Critical
The album was met with generally positive reviews with many calling it Manafest's best album yet. Reviewers on jesusfreakhideout had the following to say about the album: "The Chase is an enjoyable album with so much variety that it never seems to become tedious. Releases like this one don't come around too often, so if you crave rock and rap, it doesn't get better than this."[1] Rapzilla also gave the album a favourable review saying that "Comfortable in his own skin...Manafest has a good project on his hands."[2]
Release and Promotion
The song "No Plan B" was released as a single in early January, while the song "Avalanche" was released as a single on March 12.[3][4] A music video for "No Plan B" was released on March 16.[5] and for "Fire in the Kitchen" was on May 13, 2010.
Other singles by Manafest on this album include: "Bring the Ruckus" and "Renegade" both with Music Videos made for them
